Where Should a Watch Your Head Sign Be Used?
Low-clearance doorways, basement stairwells, construction sites with overhead beams, industrial facilities with low-hanging pipework or machinery

Which Material Should I Choose?
Aluminium Composite: Best for permanent indoor or outdoor signage and locations requiring a rigid, durable sign.
Correx: A lightweight, economical option for temporary or shorter-term signage.
Self-Adhesive Vinyl: Best for application directly to smooth, clean surfaces such as doors, panels and equipment housings.
PVC: A rigid, durable plastic option offering a balance between the low cost of Correx and the strength of Aluminium Composite, suitable for indoor and sheltered outdoor use.

Why this sign: It should be posted wherever the overhead clearance falls below a safe walking height, particularly in areas where people may not naturally look upward. The sign addresses the risk of impact injuries to the head, which can range from minor cuts and bruises to serious concussion or trauma.

Compliance note: In Ireland, employers must provide appropriate safety signage where hazards cannot be avoided or adequately reduced by other measures, based on the workplace risk assessment, under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007. This sign is suitable for use as part of a workplace safety-signage system where identified by that risk assessment.
